The Agnaktor are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter 3.
Physiology[]
Given that they are both quadrupedal Leviathans with comparable body types and sizes, Agnaktor and Lagiacrus have numerous similarities. It is well known for its amazing ability to swim through lava and tunnel through solid volcanic rock, however a short descent makes the rock much more liquid. Its armor, which resembles lava and melts when heated, hardens as it cools. Its beak resembles a drill and is lined with rows of needle-shaped teeth.
The only significant distinctions between the Agnaktor and the Uroktor are their sizes and the former's capacity to cause magma to adhere to its body. Other than that, they are almost identical. Although the Agnaktor can release a coherent beam, both have the capability to shoot bursts of fire.
Abilities[]
It fights in a manner akin to other Leviathans. With a strong orange beam that is very similar to Gravios', it can rush toward a hunter and "swim" right through solid rock to slam into them. The orange-red lava armor covering its skin serves as a warning that it is hot and fragile. However, if it is exposed to heat or does not use its fire beam for an extended period of time, the armor will cool and turn hard, becoming black. When a place has a physical ceiling, it might tunnel through both the ground and the ceiling.
Behavior[]
Because they lack natural predators when they reach adulthood, agnaktors may be very aggressive, confronting anybody who ventures into their territory. Its only real danger comes from monsters challenging it for food or territory.
Habitat[]
Only the Old World's Volcanic Hollow and Volcanoes contain Agnaktor. It is well suited to live there, feeling at home among the rocky slopes and lava pits. It stays put in regions that are covered with lava and magma.
