Aiko Takada is minor overreaching character in Elfen Lied series. She was a friend of Lucy when she attempted one last attempt to open up with humanity after the incident with Kouta where they met and got along where Lucy attempt to reunite her with her mother but would end up getting shot by Kurama when protecting Lucy making her give herself so Aiko can be healed. Though her fate is ambiguous but Kurama told Lucy she "died" and blamed her destroying almost what is of Lucy’s humanity, making her driven more to the brim than already what happened with Tomoo and Kouta

Why Isn't She Heroic Nor Villainous?[]
- While she killed her own father it was out of self defense and completely accidental from due to her going overboard in protecting herself as she was completely remorseful when she realized she went too far.
- All her acts close to heroism is being nice and basic assistience for Lucy.
- Her fate is heavily reliant up on the viewer to decide on if she actually was killed or Kurama did some deal with her to reunite with her mother at cost to keep her mouth shut and Kurama only lied to Lucy to discourage escapement due to art of her in the Manga's last chapter.
