Aknosom is a Bird Wyvern first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise.
Appearance[]
In appearance, Aknosom resembles a crane. It may be intimidating because of its huge collar shaped like a parasol made of crimson and gold, which is also the color of its wings and head crest. It features golden eyes and a large beak. Its legs are long and slender, and it is coated in white scales, some of which grow feathered. It also has a strange hook-like structure at the end of its tail. One leg can be used by Aknosom to stand.
Behavior and Abilities[]
It's reported that aknosoms are very protective of their territory and would use their crests to frighten off any trespassers.
By fanning out its collar, Aknosom may use it as a bludgeoning weapon or a protective shield. It will attempt to use its collars and the crests on its opponents' heads to scare them. Its beak can withstand being thrust with significant force into the ground without breaking. Additionally, it has the ability to spew tiny fireballs that bounce off the ground and leave behind little patches of flame. Additionally, it has the ability to charge at a great speed and slash at opponents with its wings pointed like a blade. It can attack from the air and fly as well.
