Amanda is a minor character from We Bare Bears who first appeared in the episode "Summer Love", being a customer at the same Boba Shop that Panda was at.
She was voiced by Stephanie Sheh.
Why isn't she heroic or villainous?[]
- All she does is introduce herself to Panda and tell him that if she ever loses her phone then she hopes he will be the one who finds it. Although this has a positive influence on Panda, it is not heroic enough.
Biography[]
Amanda appears at the start of the episode at the Boba Shop that Panda is in. Both are reading the same manga, Summer Love, and have ordered the same boba tea. Panda instantly falls in love with her, but when he gathers the courage to speak to her, Amanda has already left. However, she accidentally leaves her phone behind, and Panda subsequently embarks on a mission to return it before 6 PM.
Amanda heads to the ferry for a boat ride, unaware that Panda is chasing after her. Unfortunately, he loses track of her on the water and ends up kidnapped by a Mad Scientist. Meanwhile, Amanda continues her boat ride and heads for the train station. At exactly 6 PM, she bumps into Panda, who thought he was too late. Recognizing her phone, Amanda thanks him, and they finally introduce themselves, realizing how similar their names sound.
Panda tries to confess his feelings, but Amanda stops him because she’s moving out of the Bay Area, much to Panda's dismay, and has a train to catch to get to the airport. She hugs Panda, telling him that if she ever loses her phone again, she hopes he’ll be the one to find it. With that, she departs for her train.
Personality[]
Amanda is shown to be a kind, polite, and easygoing young woman who has several interests in common with Panda, such as manga and boba tea. At the Boba Shop, she coincidentally ordered the same drink and was reading the same manga series as Panda.
Her panda-themed hat, backpack, and phone case can infer that she loves pandas and they may possibly be her favorite animal. Amanda also seems to like pink, as her shirt matched the color of her phone.
