~ Amrita's chant for Maa Kali in Sanskrit. |
Amrita Jayanti is one of the main protagonists of the Tumblr Spooky Month Fan-Comic comic Dead Meat, which was made by Spicy-Mermaid. She is a Hindu woman who helps guide Bob Velseb through the process of his painful transformation into a demon that was caused by the curse of the necklace he was given from the mysterious cult.
Why Isn't She Heroic or Villainous?
- She is far too morally dubious to be considered as a hero nor a villain, for the following reasons:
- She doesn't show enough heroic moments to be considered as a hero.
- She hasn't done as much crimes as Bob Velseb has done, with Amrita only being guilty for harboring a fugitive (Bob Velseb, who is a cannibalistic serial killer) and likely also for aiding and abetting Bob Velseb into hiding from the police. Therefore, she has not done enough heinous crimes to be considered as a villain.
- Unlike Bob Velseb, she is not a cannibal as it would be revealed that during her ritual that she was not drinking blood, but fake, symbolic vegan "blood" as of means to worship Maa Kali.
Biography
She would be first seen in the end of the chapter of "On Blood and Gore", where she would be doing a ritual for Maa Kali at a parking lot near a funeral Home. She would get interrupted by Bob Velseb. She would recognize that Bob Velseb has an amulet, which would make Bob Velseb immortal, but would also curse Bob him into making him slowly and painfuly transform into a demon.
Later she would get ready to a bathroom with a white robe and gets into the bathroom as a way to trick an unsuspected, creepy trespasser who would attempt to peek on her. She would change to another outfit to trick the guy for whe he tried to peek into the shower.
She would have Bob Velseb come on over to have him attack the perverted man before allowing Bob Velseb to kill the pervert the moment the man was terrified enough to kill and eat. However, after Bob Velseb's teeth started to fall out, Amrita would reccomend Bob Velseb to stick with drinking blood and that she would have a blender so she can help chop up the human meat up so Bob Velseb can consume it properly.
The story has not been given any further updates as of now.
Personality
She is a fearless, unfazed, affable and religious woman who is shown to worship the Goddess of Death named Maa Kali. She is not even scared of anything, not even Bob Velseb. She would support rituals while at a parking lot near a funeral home in cremation grounds while nearby a fireplace and drinking a bowl of fake blood, as it is considered as "Puja" (or "Pure" in Hindu).
She is also familiar with what the Mysterious Cult's amulet would affect Bob Velseb and has a huge library in her house.

Trivia
- While she does do rituals, she is not part of a cult.
- She is a vegetarian, thus as with the "blood" that she drinks is not actually real blood, but it is used as a way of symbolism.
