Sorry you can't cry to teacher today. You'll just have to cry to your daddy instead. Oh wait, can't do that either.
~ Angela cruelly insulting Eleven over her dead father.

Angela is a major antagonist in Season 4 of Stranger Things. She is the school adversary of Eleven at Lenora Hills High School who frequently attempts to cause her conflict for no reason. Her actions indirectly result in Eleven retrieving her powers.

She was portrayed by Elodie 'Grace' Orkin.

Biography[]

Angela, her boyfriend Jake, and several others bully Eleven while she's attempting to give out her oral presentation. After Angela gave her presentation about Hellen Keller, it was Eleven's turn to make her presentation.

However, she proceeded to call her diorama of Jim Hopper "diarrhea". She callously giggles as Eleven continues her presentation. Angela claims that Eleven is going against the guidelines of the oral presentations, saying that they're supposed to talk about a famous historical figure, while remarking that Jim Hopper was only in Eleven's local town paper. Despite this, Mrs. Gracey, the teacher, allowed Eleven to continue doing her project.

That same day, Angela proceeded to trip over Eleven, and have the former's friends stomp and destroy her project. Eleven attempts to use her powers on her, but nothing happened. Angela proceeded to laugh at her for her attempt, along with several others on the campus. When Mrs. Gracey asked Eleven what was going on, the latter attempted to lie. But the former knew that it was Angela's fault and furiously escorted her to the principal's office.

The next day, Angela and several of her friends proceeded to bully Eleven at Rink-O-Mania when she was hanging out with Mike. Mike, believing that Angela was one of Eleven's friends, introduces himself to her. Angela grabs Eleven and takes her to the rink. She attempted to resist, but Angela wouldn't let her. Suddenly, the DJ then proceeds to try and humiliate Eleven as well, and Angela's friends circle around Eleven and proceeded to insult her. Jake then throws Eleven's milkshake on the latter to humiliate her even more. This causes Eleven to hide in the storage closet.

Angela's group laugh at the video her friends recorded of Eleven getting humiliated. Eleven, on the verge of losing her anger, ordered Angela to apologize to her, but she cruelly refused to do so. Angela proceeded to mock Eleven even more and smugly walks away. But Eleven follows her, steals a roller skate left by one of the boys, and proceeds to bludgeon Angela in the nose, causing her bleed a lot. The paramedics arrive to treat Angela, who was horrified of how much she was bleeding from the attack. She was presumably taken to the hospital, but it's unknown what happens to her after this.

Trivia[]

  • She is the 100th page on the Neutral Characters Wiki.
  • The show's writers surprisingly stated that viewers were meant to feel conflicted over whether she deserved her comeuppance, but this failed due to Angela being such a cruel bully (in particular for mocking Eleven over her supposedly deceased father) that most fans felt she had it coming.
