Aptonoth are Herbivores introduced in Monster Hunter.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- It is because they are very docile and when one is attacked, the rest flee.
Physiology[]
Aptonoths resemble cows and have gray, leathery skin. Their heads resemble hadrosaurs, and they have black stripes along the length of their backs. They have a flat, spiky tail and a huge crest that protrudes from their skulls. The ladies are smaller and have just two horns on their crest, but the males are bigger and have four horns.
Behavior[]
Both humans and other monsters pursue these peaceful animals for their meal. They travel in groups at all times. Others in the herd will usually escape when they feel threatened, but occasionally the dominant male may try to defend himself first. On occasion, the escaping Aptonoth would cross the River in Forest and Hills Area 1 in the hopes of rejoining their group.
Habitat[]
Numerous environments, including wet swamps, deep jungles, and even tropical islands, are home to Aptonoths.
