The Arzuros are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. They are a species of Fanged Beast that are fairly common omnivores in their habitats, snacking on honey and fish. While typically docile and non-confrontational, Arzuros are known to attack humans in possession of their favourite foods, making them a regular target of hunts.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
As regular animals in their world, Arzuros don't possess the mental faculties for a moral compass.
Physiology[]
An Arzuros can be instantly recognised from its ursine body and turquoise fur. Its nose is aligned with an erect hair ridge. Its strong skin back is reminiscent of a carapace in several ways. Blonde hair grows out of its cheeks and connects to its back, where it is trimmed along the sides. It also possesses lines of blue scutes on its back, beginning at its head and ending at its rear end. An Arzuros's claws are characterized by long, crimson nails. A strong brace surrounds and shields the wrist and forearm on each claw. With a short, broad tail, Arzuros possesses big, muscular legs that are attached to considerably tiny feet.
Abilities[]
Like other monsters, Arzuros are much stronger than regular humans, being able to toss hunters with relative ease. With their sharp claws, Arzuros can easily deal grievous maul wounds to the average person, knocking down hunters as well. The scute armour of an Arzuros also allows it to sustain attacks from most small monsters, while its stamina allows it to endure multiple broken parts.
Behavior[]
Gluttonous but shy beasts, Arzuros tend to shy away from humans, spending their days fishing and gathering honey. This changes, however, when they see said foods in the possession of a person. Arzuros will brazenly attack people that possess food that they want, attacking with powerful claw swipes and charges. This also allows them to be distracted by food in a pinch. When threatened, Arzuros will rear up on their hind legs and roar, hoping to scare away their foes. Interestingly, Arzuros often hang their tongues out of their mouths.
Habitat[]
Arzuros typically inhabit subtropical regions such as the Misty Peaks and Shrine Ruins, where fish and honey are abundant resources. In th Moga region, they have been seen in the Deserted Island.
