Augustus Gloop is one of the four main antagonists (alongside Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee) in the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and its 1971 film adaptation.
He is a gluttonous kid from Hailing from Germany. He is portrayed by Michael Bollner in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and portrayed by Philip Wiegratz in the 2005 adaptation.

Augustus become the first of the five kids to find the Golden Ticket to win a trip to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. But he is the first child to be ejected from the tour after falling into the chocolate river and get stuck to a pipe that leads to the fudge room.
In the novel, he loses weight from being squeezed through a pipe. In the 1971 film, his fate is unvisualized. In the 2005 adaption, he leaves the factory and gets covered in chocolate, with the implications that he's now actually made of chocolate.
