Monster Hunter G introduces the Azure Rathalos, a Flying Wyvern and a subspecies of Rathalos.
Physiology[]
Since the Azure Rathalos is a subspecies of the Rathalos, it has nearly all of the same traits. The blue title comes from the fact that its normally blazing red shell is now blue in color. Its tail features a single red spike at the end, and its wing webbing is lime green. It is far more aggressive and possesses greater stamina, health, and attack strength.
Abilities[]
Though they almost ever challenge anything bigger than themselves outside of their domain, Azure Rathalos, like all genuine flying wyverns, have the strength, speed, and cunning to down nearly any threat or prey they encounter in the wild. They can stay in the air longer and execute great combos with their poisonous claws and fire breath since their wings are stronger than those of the normal Rathalos.
Behavior[]
Even by Rathalos standards, Azure Rathalos are highly clever and aggressive. During mating season, when territorial disputes are more frequent and competition for the finest hunting areas is intense, Azure Rathalos are more hostile.
Habitat[]
Although it can sometimes be found in volcanic regions, azure rathalos is more frequently found in forests and hills.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- Rathalos, from Monster Hunter, is not considered a villain because it's primarily acting as a predator defending its territory, attacking hunters only when they intrude on its domain, essentially behaving like any wild animal would in its natural habitat; it's not actively seeking to harm humans or cause destruction, just protecting its space and hunting prey, making it more of a natural threat than a malicious one.
