A character in Monsters University is named Baboso Goretega. He belongs to the fraternity Jaws Theta Chi. He resembles a blue slug or shark and has blue eyes.

Baboso Goretega is from the team, Jaws Theta Chi. In the first scare game, Toxicity Challenge where the players should cross the path full of sea urchins, he and his teammates got disqualified because they all cheated by applying protection gel to prevent being poisoned by the sea urchins.

Trivia[]

Baboso was not depicted as a student at Monsters University in one particular scenario. You can see James P. Sullivan, or a monster who looks just like him, with other pupils as a Fear Tech student after he sneaked away with the school's mascot, Archie the Scare Pig. Interestingly, Baboso did not appear in any further scenes with Jaws Theta Chi, but he did appear in the fraternity's official image, indicating that he may have transferred shortly before or after Sulley and Mike were expelled and joined Jaws Theta Chi at that time.
"Baboso" comes from the Spanish word "babosa," which means "slug."
Baboso is depicted as having three eyes rather than two in the "Monsters University Fearbook".
