A Flying Wyvern and a subspecies of Gigginox, Baleful Gigginox was first seen in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
Physiology[]
The bottom of Baleful Gigginox is a dark bruise-black color, while the top is golden. Instead of glowing purple like the typical Gigginox, its heat-sensing organs glow green.
Abilities[]
Instead of using poison, Baleful Gigginox employs paralysis and thunder. Its golden skin turns a crimson scarlet, evoking scarlet Khezu, when it is angry. The subspecies creates explosive electrical blob sacs in place of poison blobs. Like normal Khezu, it can also produce electricity throughout its entire body.
Behavior[]
Gigginox is quite aggressive and possessive of territory. The monster will kill smaller predators like Great Baggi and its offspring with terrible prejudice if they are found close to its lair.
Habitat[]
The Baleful Gigginox mostly inhabits the icy tundra caverns, just like the typical Gigginox.
