Beotodus are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Appearance[]
Beotodus's stocky build and small fins are characteristics of other New World piscine wyverns. Nevertheless, its cranium is fashioned differently. Its head is slender, with bright green eyes and a big black horn sticking out of it. Beotodus has black scales with yellow markings on its head and underbelly. Beotodus has two tiny ear-like fins on its head and a single dorsal fin that resembles a shark. Beotodus uses snow to cover its head, body, and tail in order to shield its vulnerable areas, same as Jyuratodus does with mud.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Like Zamtrios, Beotodus swims across thick snow and ice as if it were water. This makes it easier for it to ambush and overpower prey that is impeded by the snow, but it also leaves them open to Screamer Pod attacks. It may also be made to come to the surface if enough harm is done to its body and the snow covering it is torn off. Beotodus is much more susceptible while its snow cover is being replaced. Beotodus may cause Iceblight by hurling snow at pursuing hunters. They may even dig under the surface of the snow and then emerge seconds later, dashing out of it.
