Bigjob is the overarching protagonist of the forth instalment in the How to Train Your Dragon Book series, How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse. He was the former chief of the Hysteric Tribe and the father of Norbert the Nutjob.
Biography[]
15 years before the events of the book, Bigjob was the chief of the Hysteric Tribe. Unlike the other tribes, The Hysterics believed that the earth was round rather then flat. Bigjob would prove this by creating a ship called the American dream. and sailing as far west as he could until he came across America. He would take with him from the Natives who he called "feather people" a potato that was frozen in ice when he went home. He eventually found the ship was being followed by a sea dragon known as the Doom Fang. When they eventually reached the Wrath of Thor, The Dragon attacked the boat and Bigjob fought back with his dragon the Thunderer with arrows made by the Native Americans but the Doom fang got the better of him. He would eventually be given a funeral by his son.
Appearance[]
Bigjob is frozen solid with one arm held up in the air and with a casket in his hand. he wears a Viking helmet with curly horns.
Personality[]
By the time he he is seen in the book, he is long since dead, however from was known about him when he was alive he is shown to be brave and confident.
Trivia[]
- He is possibly based on Leif Erikson who was the Viking who discovered America in real life.
