William Geoffrey "Billy" Fitzgerald Kitchener Parham III is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball. He is a blue, egg-shaped humanoid and Felicity Parham's son.

He was voiced by Richard Overall.

Why isn't he heroic or villainous?[]

  • Although he does reform and become nicer, that isn't heroic enough.
  • His worst actions are typical of your average bully/jerk, meaning that he doesn't qualify to be a villain and is just a jerk.

Appearance[]

Billy is a blue blob shaped like an egg. Like most of the Elmore residents, he has two eyes, a mouth, two legs and two arms. His lips are pink-peach colored.

Personality[]

Like his mother, Billy is condescending and thinks of himself as superior to the rest of Elmore. He has a tendency to ridicule people, which can escalate into full-on bullying. He is notably intelligent, cultured, and socially awkward, which at one time made him get along well with Anais.

He has a tendency to question Felicity, always beginning with the word "Mother…",  about whatever is going on around them.  Felicity's answers are often dismissive or insulting. Despite this, Billy is extremely attached to his mother, celebrating Mother's Day every day and giving her a gift on each of these days, as shown in "The Gumball Chronicles: Mother's Day." However, he is not afraid to go against her when they disagree on something, such as their differing opinions on video games in "The Blame" or his friendship with Anais in "The Egg."

Billy is not always snobbish, as seen when he was enjoying Anais's company in "The Egg," though the attitude returned when Billy's disdain for Daisy the Donkey came up. He also tends to react like most other children his age would if scared or particularly upset, such as crying when he is intimidated by Gumball in "The Comic," or when Jamie draws on him in "The Buddy."

Biography[]

Billy serves as the the main antagonist of the Season 4 episode "The Pest ". In this episode, Anais feels angry because he is suffering of bullying by a child of her school. When she presents him to Gumball and Darwin, this first laughs because thinks he's so small for being a threat, but soon he will discover that he has underestimated him. Gumball and Darwin gives to Anais permission to beat him, but she backs out and inexplicably escapes.

Then, Gumball proposes Billy to resolve problems with a duel and both agree go to schoolyard before class to fight. Billy results being a worthy adversary using a stick as sword, until Gumball eats its and asked him why he hates his sister. Then, Billy, with a magnificent performance with shadow puppets, tells Gumball that he was a very lucky child. His parents are rich, and they always gave him away with expensive gifts. He was a genius and the first on class and had a lot of friends. But, like he says, "sometimes, perfection is not enough". One day, he met Anais, of which, having much in common with her, he fell in love. Unfortunately, Anais didn't feel the same and broke his heart. Hurt and humiliated, Billy refuges in bitterness and sarcasm. Then, Gumball encourages him teaching him that it can't be always happy because life has its ups and downs and that fighting does not solve anything.

Redeemed, Billy and Gumball are agree in make peace hugging each other but, in that moment, Anais (who results she has given herself a run up in order to concentrate all of her power in a single kick) rushes into view and kicks Billy.
