Bob Cutlass is a minor character in the Carsfranchise. He is a racing announcer for the Piston Cup, along with Darrell Cartrip.
Biography[]
Bob and Darrell Cartrip are making announcements in the Piston Cup in cars. Following a three-way tie caused by Lightning McQueen, Chick Hicks, and The King, Bob and Darrell are in shock and eagerly attempting to select a winner. Both make an appearance at the Los Angeles International Speedway as commentators for the race that decides the tie. After the King forfeits the victory to Chick Hicks, Lightning pushes him over the finish line. Bob wonders if the performance was illegal, but Darrell brushes it off as Lightning giving him a bump draft.
In Cars 3, Bob makes a comeback and announces Piston Cup races alongside Darrell Cartrip. He and Darrell discuss how Lightning McQueen, Bobby Swift, and Cal Weathers appear to enjoy themselves greatly on the track during the Dinoco Light 350 at the Motor Speedway of the South. He and Darrell are taken aback when Cruz Ramirez, rather than Lightning, joins the track from pit row during the Florida 500.

A 1998 Saxon GTSC (Grand Touring Sport Coupe) belongs to Bob Cutlass. His 3-liter inline SIX engine produces 255 horsepower SAE at 6,600 rpm. Despite the fact that the 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora was never available as a two-door model, he is also modeled on one. He has chrome mirrors and rims and is completely painted a dark grey. His look was changed in Cars 3 to include RSN badges on his doors.

Bob takes his announcements more seriously than Darrell Cartrip, who usually offers the amusing facts and conjecture while Bob offers the factual analysis. These attributes have led to him landing other radio and television announcing jobs, including the Olympics, monster truck rallies, tractor pulling, and America's Funniest Sports Utility Vehicles.
