Trivia[]
- Brent is based on, voiced by, and named after ESPN/ABC sportscaster Brent Musburger.
- Brent Mustangburger is a reporter for the RSN (Racing Sports Network), which appeared prominently in Cars.
- The die-cast model of Brent has brown eyes, although Brent Mustangburger himself has green eyes.
- In the Danish version, he was named "Søren Kobling", after journalist Søren Clauding, who voiced him in that version.
- Brent Mustangburger was supposed to appear in Cars 3, but got cut for unknown reasons.
- In the Finnish version, he is called Oskari Kaasari (lit. carburetors), named after his voice actor Oskari Saari, a Finnish Formula One driver.
- Brent Mustangburger, alongside the Tractors, are the only characters from the main Cars film series to make full appearances and not just appear as cameos in the spin-off films, Lightning McQueen and some other characters made cameo appearances in Planes and Planes: Fire & Rescue.
- Much like Mack, his symbol is not car-ified. It's the "horse" found on actual Mustangs.
- Interestingly, he has been the only real vehicle model (licensed; full exact carbon copy) ever to appear in the entire Planes series overall. Because as for example, Cad Spinner, who is based on a mix between the second-generation and third generation Cadillac Escalade, Kitt Lift, who is based on a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab, and Secretary of the Interior, who is based on an International Scout II and first-generation Ford Bronco, are just only generic versions of their real-life counterparts.
- In the Hungarian version of the film, Brent is voiced by Róbert Winkler, who is one of the two founders of Totalcar, a Hungarian car magazine.
