- All he does is demand that Shrek growl at him, which is equivalent to a genetic nuisance and is also used for laughter.
- Although he loves his father and seems to be a fan of Shrek, It's too simple to be heroic.
Biography[]
Butter Pants and his father attempt to convince Shrek to perform his now-famous ogre roar during the ogre babies' first birthday celebration, but Shrek politely declines, saying that he only does it when he is extremely irate and that he dislikes it when he becomes enraged at other people.
Butter Pants insists that Shrek make the roar nonetheless. Butter Pants, his father, and Shrek's other visitors all celebrate when Shrek eventually loses his patience with Butter Pants' irritation and other frustrations, such a destroyed cake, and lets out a long, loud ogre roar that blows everyone away. Then he says, "I love you, daddy," and pulls his father down.
In the parallel reality, he and his father are spotted with a huge green troll that he believes to be Shrek. Rumpelstiltskin tells them that it's a troll and remarks, "nice try," but they brought it to him in hopes of getting the "deal of a lifetime."
Shrek is back in the party scene, which begins after Shrek's ogre roar, and we can hear Butter Pants talking once more when he is taken back to the actual Far Far Away with Puss in Boots, Donkey, and Fiona.
He is seen riding one of the Dronkeys during the closing credits.
Appearance[]
Butter Pants is a short, fat kid that looks and sounds like Louie Anderson. He is seen with a huge lollipop in his hand and wearing a gold suit. He speaks in a gritty monotone and has a slightly Mel Blanc-like nasality.
Personality[]
Despite learning from Shrek that he only roars when he is angry, he still wants to hear one, which suggests that he is a bit of a spoiled child. He was shown holding Donkey and telling his father he loved him when Shrek shouted, demonstrating his more sympathetic side despite his tendency toward bossiness. In addition, Butter Pants wears a brown hat and has short, light yellow blond hair. By instructing Shrek to roar while licking his lollipop in a strong, demanding voice, he also comes across as incredibly brave.
