Casey Marie Becker is a minor character in the 1996 horror film, Scream.
She was a high school student of Woodsboro High School and the ex-girlfriend of Stu Macher. One night, she planned to watch a scary movie with her boyfriend, Steven Orth. However, she was killed by Ghostface instead.
She is portrayed by Drew Barrymore. Her portrayal in the in-universe film Stab was played by Heather Graham.
Biography[]
Casey was preparing for a movie night with Steven Orth, her boyfriend. She was on the phone with a stranger when they suddenly flirted with her, creeping her out. When she calls back, Ghostface tells her to look outside, revealing to have tied up Steve.
Ghostface forces Casey to answer questions. After she got one incorrect, Ghostface brutally guts Steve, killing him. Ghostface throws the chair that Steve was sitting on and breaks the glass door. Casey runs from Ghostface, but the latter follows her.
Casey nearly escapes as he sees her parents car approaching. But Ghostface ambushes her and stabs her in the chest. Casey attempts to fight back, knocking Ghostface's knife out of his hands. The latter however strangles her, only to be kicked in the groin. Casey attempts to call out to her parents about it, but wasn't able to speak due to the strangulation.
Ghostface appears in front of Casey and reveals his face, before repeatedly stabbing her to death. Later, Casey's parents find her body gutted and hanging from a tree.

- She is the current mascot of the Mature template, with her screaming after seeing ghostface show up at her house and the fact she saw Friday the 13th 20 times.
- Initially, Drew Barrymore was casted for Sidney Prescott, but she turned it down, wanting to give the audience a surprise in an effort to break a horror movie trope of well-known actresses never dying in horror-films.
- The movie studio, Dimension Films, threatened to fire Wes Craven for this decision. But after seeing the final product of her scenes, they were impressed.
