The Cat Priest was a minor character from Red Dwarf. His first and only appearance was in the fourth episode of series 1: "waiting for God."
He was portrayed by the late Noel Coleman.
Biography[]
The Cat Priest was part of the faction of cat that believed the doughnut dinner hats should be red however he and various others was left behind by the other Red Hat Cats that left on the Arcs. In his elderly years he lost his sight and his faith. Just as he said that Cloister the Stupid was not real, Lister walks through the door and tells him he passed. he then breaks down thinking his hat had been burnt. but instead he had given it to the cat and the cat was wearing it. Lister then puts his hat on which the Priest is over joyed about and then he dies.
Personality[]
The Cat Priest is a sad and very depressed intervaginal. Who has lost hope in his beliefs. However after Lister walks in he is re energized and happy to know he past. He died happy thinking that Cloister the Stupid had spoken to him and brought back his hat.
