Neutrals from a controversial subgenre known as exploitation, dealing in taboo subject matter merging with stories involving horror, dark comedy, deconstruction, (sur)realism, adult entertainment, etc.; it was especially prominent during a period known as the video nasty era, spawning titles that continue to be seen due to their (intentionally) controversial content. Exploitation media is often banned but those which get released become cult-favorites amongst dedicated fans. Also, by its very nature most Internet trolling-related phenomena is exploitation and can be even more taboo due to greater difficulties in censoring the Internet.
