Neutrals from the Ukrainian first-person-shooter survival horror video game franchise S.T.A.L.K.E.R., developed by a Ukrainian video game developer GSC Game World. The name "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." is a backronym for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers And Robbers.
The series is based on the Soviet Science-Fiction novel Roadside Picnic by Soviet-Russian authors Brothers Strugatsky and influenced by Soviet Science-Fiction movie Stalker by a Soviet film director and screenwriter Andrei Tarkovsky, which is the former's adaptation.
The series is set in a alterative version of the present-day Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where a mysterious second disaster took place in 2006. As a result, the physical, chemical, and biological processes in the area were altered, spawning nature-defying anomalies, artifacts, and mutants.
The neutral counterpart of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Villains.
Not to be confused with Stalkers, who engage in Stalking. "Stalking" is also a form of industrial tourism, which engages in exploring abandoned cities/facilities and other types of industrial infrastructure.
