Claude Scruggs is a professional race car who is known by his sponsor Leak Less, drove as number 52 for the Leak Less-sponsored squad in the Piston Cup Racing Series. Before leaving the Piston Cup circuit before the events of Cars 3, Claude was a fearless and devoted racer with over twenty years of experience. He turns out to be Lightning McQueen's friend and ally.

Biography[]
At the Motor Speedway of the South, Claude is one of 36 vehicles vying for the Dinoco 400, the last race of the 2005 Piston Cup season. Chick Hicks, the leader, is one of the numerous vehicles involved in a multi-car collision, getting pushed and bruised by his rivals. After a short break, No. 123 Todd Marcus accidentally runs over Claude, flipping him upside down as the two go from roof to roof. Rookie Lightning McQueen uses Scruggs as a springboard to leap over the rest of the pileup and avoid injury when the two halt and collide with a wall. Claude is repaired up in the pits and comes back to finish the race, despite some minor cosmetic damage.

He is a yellow, black, and white-liveried Husker Morocco with Lightyear racing tires and sponsor decals from Leak Less. He also has a black mustache-like grille, just like Chick Hicks. He has 580 horsepower (430 kW) and can reach a top speed of 185 mph (297 km/h). He is based on the 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR, according to IMCDB.
