The Congalala are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter 2.
Physiology[]
With its pink fur, hippo-like head, and extended front claws, it looks like a gigantic, multi-tailed gorilla. The Congalala has shaped the hair on its head into a spike to denote its leadership over the other pack members. Congalalas are remarkably perceptive creatures.
Behavior[]
Notwithstanding their somewhat endearing look, the Congalalas should never be taken lightly. Despite their general gentle nature, they respond favorably to herbivores as long as they keep a safe distance. When something disturbs their meal or frightens them, such seeing hunters, they can turn hostile very fast. They enter their anger state after they sustain enough damage. Not only does their rear release fart gas, but their upper jaw will be mostly red as well. Their anger also increases noticeably.
Habitat[]
Congalala are mainly found in places like the jungle in the Old World. Ancient Jungle and Marsh. The Primal Forest, Heaven's Mount, and Sunken Hollow are home to their New World equivalents. Peculiar Den is home to their MHST counterparts.
