In Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, the Bird Wyvern and Qurupeco subspecies known as Crimson Qurupeco was first seen.
Physiology[]
This subtype is red and blue, in contrast to the conventional variety. This subspecies is the only one with electrified flints.
Abilities[]
Rather than producing a fire explosion, the flints combine to produce a powerful electrical shock that can cause thunderblight. Its special wing talons and electrically conductive mucus might make this possible. Like Gypceros, it can also produce a dazzling flash that will momentarily blind the hunter and any other nearby monsters. The Earplugs Skill is necessary to silence this subspecies' roar, which is different from that of the typical Qurupeco.
Under normal circumstances, the Qurupeco's vocal sac is not readily visible; but, while it is performing a vocal, it is. Similar to the original Qurupeco, this monster has the ability to cure nearby monsters or improve their attack or defense. Qurupeco's heal or boost can be used on hunters and their allies if its singing is cut off by a Sonic Bomb or if the throat sac sustains significant damage. A song that instantaneously puts the monsters it summons into Rage mode is one of its new powers.
Behavior[]
Additionally, it appears to be bigger and more hostile than the typical Qurupeco. The green and regular Nargacuga are also summoned by the Crimson Qurupeco.
