D199 or Diesel 199 also known as Spamcan and sarcastically, Old Reliable is the main antagonist of the Story Super Rescue from The Railway Series book: Enterprising Engines. He was one of two Diesels sent by British Railways on loan for trial.
When he and Bear who at the time was called D7101 arrived at the shed he said it was time that he and Bear take over the railway much to the annoyance the steam engines and the reluctance of Bear. The next day, he broke down while taking a goods train and Henry with a lost regulator had pull him and his train he didn't help. Later he would be sent away and would never return while his accomplice became the North Western Railway's Third Diesel Engine.
Appearance[]
D199 is a BR Class 45 with a blue livery and yellow face and of course the number D199 on his sides.
Personality[]
In contrast to his former friend Bear, D199 is boastful and full of self importance. Like other Diesels he thinks he is better then them and only sulked when Henry had to help him.
