Diego is a minor character in the 2009 psychological horror movie Case 39. He is a little boy who is one of Emily Jenkins' cases. He suddenly kills his parents in the middle of the night after being manipulated by Lillith Sullivan into doing so.
Biography[]
Diego is a little boy who gets bullied at school due to his parents having marital problems. He is first seen in the film at a group therapy session along with Lillith Sullivan and other children. One night, he murders his parents with a crowbar, and Detective Mike Barron informs Emily that somebody phoned Diego from her house the night before the crime. Lillith, whom Emily is taking care of, is suspected of being involved in this crime because she is the only other person in Emily's house besides Emily herself and interrogated about this, but she affirms that she did not make the call. The next day Emily speaks to Diego, asking him if Lillith called him that night. However, Diego starts to hyperventilate and is taken to the hospital. When Emily asks him again, he finally speaks, saying that when he was called via phone, he "answered" to a man. After this, coupled with the death of Emily's best friend Douglas J. Ame, Emily becomes more suspicious of Lillith and gradually becomes fearful of her. Later on, Detective Barron eventually realizes that Lillith, who is in fact a demon and not the girl she seems to be, is behind the murders of Diego’s parents after he receives a "strange phone call" in his home from Lillith.
