directionz is a minor character in the SFM horror series Serverblight by 2IdiotGermans. He was introduced as the tritagonist of the series' first episode, The Empty Server, and had a pivotal role in SERVERBLIGHT. He is a Team Fortress 2 player who was among the first victims of the Serverblight, a paranormal entity that resides within Team Fortress 2 and assimilates player models and minds.
Biography[]
Past[]
At some point, directionz downloaded Team Fortress 2, gaining cosmetics. He was also friends with fellow player Breadolphin in real life.
One fateful day, he joined a Thunder Mountain casual server alongside Breadolphin, directionz playing as Scout on RED while Breadolphin played as a RED Spy. The match nearly finished, with BLU team pushing the cart almost to the last point. However, through unknown means, a creature known as the Serverblight appeared on the server, and sucked the minds of the players into the game, preventing them from leaving. GUILLIESUIT, a RED Engineer, soon discovered that the Serverblight was capable of assimilating other players into itself, which it did as it absorbed almost all of RED team, and apparently eliminated BLU. directionz and Breadolphin, along with their fellow surviving RED players GUILLIESUIT and gayfer (Heavy), managed to escape the Serverblight for some time, hiding on the edges of the map as the creature hunted them down. However, through means unknown (possibly sheer desperate speculation) GUILLIESUIT discovered a way to escape the server- killing oneself.
The Empty Server[]
With the information relayed to them, Breadolphin and directionz made a beeline for the cliff at the edge of the map, which held an instant death zone at its base. At that moment, dicksalot (Sniper) joined BLU team, completely unaware of the danger. After mistaking GUILLIESUIT's "kys" messages for usual TF2 banter, dicksalot noticed Breadolphin throw himself off the cliff, which allowed Breadolphin to disconnect. directionz ran over shortly afterwards, and dicksalot shot at him, but missed. However, directionz, still frightened, stopped and wordlessly indicated for dicksalot to execute him. A little confused, dicksalot complied, shooting directionz in the head and instantly killing him.
Migration[]
However, it turns out that directionz made a terrible mistake- the only way to successfully escape the server was to use the instant death zone at the base of the cliff, as the Serverblight was still capable of assimilating corpses. While Breadolphin and dicksalot managed to escape this way, gayfer, GUILLIESUIT, and directionz were all assimilated, all three having killed themselves the wrong way. With directionz absorbed into it, the Serverblight soon came across another new player, JonyDany12 (RED Engineer), who it allowed to disconnect in order to learn how to jump servers. With that, the Serverblight disconnected, taking directionz along as it chased Jony across the game.
SERVERBLIGHT[]
After assimilating JonyDany12, the Serverblight eventually made it to a near-empty Snowycoast community server, where dicksalot (now Soldier) and his friend Hector0n (Medic) were playing on BLU. Joining RED team, the Serverblight quickly assimilated the only other RED player, SnoWDooM (Demoman), and then started to stalk its new targets. As dicksalot and Hector0n pushed the cart down the track to access the killzone at the end of the map, the Serverblight had directionz exit its mass, puppeteering the Scout in a disguised form identical to a normal Scout- save for a sixth finger on his left hand. In this form, directionz was used to lure Hector0n into an isolated room, where Hector0n seemingly killed directionz in melee- but in reality, this physical contact allowed the Serverblight to infect Hector0n, starting the process of assimilating him. dicksalot, concerned, then went up to check on Hector0n, finding Hector0n seemingly fine and directionz seemingly dead. Not giving the Scout another thought, dicksalot left with Hector0n.
Shortly afterwards, dicksalot saw directionz, now distorted to a quadruped form, skitter by a nearby mineshaft, making him realize the assimilated Scout wasn't dead. However, he had no time to dwell on that before being called away to check on fellow BLU player Scubamaster96 (Heavy), who had just been assimilated.
PUPPET[]
Ultimately, Hector0n was fully assimilated, and dicksalot managed to escape once again. directionz was then re-absorbed to the main mass of the Serverblight as a new RED player, a Sniper, soon joined and was assimilated, directionz visible in the myriad of assimilated players being tortured within the Serverblight's gestalt, forced to scream on command as the creature chased down new victims.
Reflection[]
While not seen in the episode, directionz was notably mentioned by Breadolphin, who teamed up with dicksalot in a Sawmill community server to escape the Serverblight.
