One of Monsters University's characters is Dirk Pratt. With a mace at the end of his tail and sharp fangs, he resembles a yellow, hairy monster. He belongs to the fraternity Jaws Theta Chi.

At Monsters University, Dirk Pratt was a member of the fraternity Jaws Theta Chi, which was presided over by Roy "Big Red" O'Growlahan. His fraternity participated in the Scare Games, but they were expelled after the first round for utilizing an unauthorized protective gel to protect their bodies from uchins. Due to their disqualification, Oozma Kappa was able to proceed with the games and ultimately win.

With a mace at the end of his tail and keen fangs, Dirk is an orange, hairy creature.

The Monsters University Fearbook claims that Dirk's sister, Jane Pratt, exists.
- A probable connection to the baby's Russell children's book Dick and Jane is that Dirk has a sister named Jane Pratt, according to the Monsters University Fearbook.
In the movie, Dirk made his debut during Dean Hardscrabble's "inspiring" speech. On the first row, he is visible all the way to the left.
