Before Steve "Slick" LaPage took his place, Dirkson "Dirk" D'Agostino was a race car that drove for the Trunk Fresh racing team in the Piston Cup Racing Series for more than a decade.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]

Biography[]
Dirkson is one of 36 Piston Cup racers who participate in the Motor Speedway of the South's Dinoco 400. Dirkson is involved in the collision, where he is seen spinning out of control and sustains some minor damage, when Chick Hicks causes a big wreck in an attempt to get away from Lightning McQueen. He can, however, resume racing after a pit stop.
Dirkson faces off against players like Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, and numerous others throughout the 2016 Piston Cup season in Cars 3. But Storm's impressive debut encourages other Piston Cup teams to think about replacing their veteran racers with younger ones. He joins a long list of conventional racers who are sacked or retired and replaced by more potent vehicles after placing eighth at Copper Canyon Speedway. Steve "Slick" LaPage, a racer from the next generation, most likely took Dirkson's seat after he retired.
Appearance[]
The race car Dirkson D'Agostino is a Capitol Motors Verve XT. He is bright green and black in cars, and the Trunk Fresh logo is emblazoned on his hood. On his doors, roof, and light green rims, he has the number 34 painted in light green, black, and white. Dirk is still a Capitol Motors in Cars 3, but he drives a Mark II rather than a Verve XT like in the original film. He is painted black with a deeper shade of green, and his hood, sides, and back are painted white. He also has grey rims rather than green ones.
