DogDay is the main protagonist of the in-universe Smiling Critters toyline made by Playtime CO. A cutout of him appears in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3.
Appearance[]
DogDay is an anthropomorphic dog, characterized by have an orange fur that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and sleek black nose. His features extend to a sunshine-yellow outer mouth and belly, while a touch of Golden-Brown graces his paws, ears, and the left side of his face. In line with other like Smiling Critters, DogDay sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, his inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. A distinct black zipper gracefully traces down his center, showcasing a captivating gold sun pendant surrounded by radiant orange sun rays.
Biography[]
In Smiling Critters Cartoon, DogDay, along with the other Critters are shown having a sleepover at his house. But there's a strong windstorm, which unsettles the Critters. DogDay tries to help calm his friends down, reassuring them that "All winds blow away...eventually." Even with him trying to keep his friends' spirits up, he too is visually afraid of the strong winds. When CatNap arrives at the house, DogDay, along with the other Critters, appear frightened, but more than happy to see him arrive when it is revealed to be CatNap. As CatNap uses his sleeping gas on the Critters, DogDay, much like the other Critters, laugh uncontrollably to an almost maniacal level. It is also shown in his house that DogDay has a picture of himself and CatNap hugging each other, which could imply they're particularly close friends. It is unknown if this version of DogDay wakes up or is still alive.
