Don Carlton is one of the five tritagonists of Monsters University.
Biography[]
Don Carlton, a sales monster from the Midwest, finds himself returning to school to pick up new skills and pursue his dream job in Hollywood when faced with the reality of the economic collapse. Don is a founder member of the Oozma Kappa fraternity and one of Monsters University's "mature" students. Don lends his sincere, industrious energy to their undertakings, making sure that his fellow brothers maintain their diverse heads on straight and their array of eyes on the task at hand.
Like all OKs at Monsters University, Don was expelled from the School of Scaring before switching his major to Computer Science. He has issues with his tentacles since their suckers have a propensity to cling everywhere and obstruct his motions while also creating noise. But as the movie progresses, he discovers how to take advantage of them and utilize them to climb up walls. This comes in extremely helpful during the fourth Scare Games competition, "Hide and Sneak," when Don was able to use his tentacles to cling to the ceiling and escape being caught by the referee, which would have meant the team was eliminated. He finally becomes engaged to Sheri Squibbles after developing love feelings for her. Along with his Oozma Kappa brothers, Don joins Monsters, Inc. as a Scarer at the movie's conclusion.
