Edwina is the overarching protagonist of the Chicken Run film series.

She is a cream-colored chicken with a leafy collar necklace.
Biography[]
Chicken Run[]
She is only seen In the roll call of Tweedy's farm where all the chickens stand in their positions where Mrs. Tweedy goes through the list of the egg count of the chickens to make profits and makes sure any chicken laid eggs every week. If they did not lay eggs for the whole week, the chicken that did not play any eggs will get slaughtered. Edwina has not been laying eggs for the whole week nor told the chickens she needed some of the eggs in order to live another day. As a result, she gets grabbed by the neck by Mr. Tweedy and Mrs. Tweedy prepares to slaughter Edwina for not laying eggs she slaughters her head off with an axe. Later Edwina's bones can be seen on a plate resembling an eaten turkey with the bones left, indicated that Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy had eaten her for their dinner.
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget[]
Edwina only appears in a flashback of the footage in the first movie where Rocky tells molly a story how they escaped from Tweedy's farm.
Rex the Runt[]
She makes a cameo in Rex the Runt.
Trivia[]
- According to Edwina's death it was revealed that Mrs. Tweedy cooked her into food and ate her.
- Edwina is the only character in the first Chicken Run film to die since Mrs. Tweedy was revealed to be alive from the barn door.
- It is unknown why Edwina refused to ask the chickens to give some of their eggs to her, though Bunty explains to Ginger that Edwina never bothered told her or anyone else (since they would have happily helped her) which implies that she was suicidal and so miserable at the Tweedy's farm that death was her only hope of escape.
- In Chicken Run Dawn of the Nugget another chicken who is unnamed with the color 314 died by being brainwashed to go in the grinder.
- Edwina had no lines in Chicken Run.
- Her death is what motivated Ginger to escape the farm.
