Former Piston Cup Racing Series driver Eugene Carbureski competes for the Tank Coat team. The Tank Coat emblem is painted in bright pink on his trunk and hood, and the number 36 is painted in hot pink on his sides and roof. He is a Husker Morocco, primarily painted pink and white.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- All he did is just racing and he played it fairly.
Biography[]
Eugene competes in the 2005 Dinoco 400, the season's last race, at the Motor Speedway of the South in Cars. Eugene is doing well early in the race until Chick Hicks tries to get farther away from Lightning McQueen. To do this, he causes a big wreck that includes all the cars except for himself, Lightning, The King, Eugene, and Mac iCar. However, Eugene was mistakenly involved in the collision, hitting Crusty Rotor and coming close to James Cleanair, Ponchy Wipeout, and Ruby "Easy" Oaks.
Eugene resumes his race, starting from the middle spots. At other moments in the race, he was even leading the pack in second place. For example, on lap 213 when The King passed him for second place, and on lap 293 when Lightning had a significant lead and Johnny Blamer was following him in third. He had already dropped to the back of the pack by lap 399, though. His final positions were lower.
In between Cars and Cars 3, Eugene retires, and the new Tank Coat racer is Reb Meeker.
