After the failure in the Paradis Island Operation in the year 850. The Marleyan military decided to investigate whatever Paradis is planning in the coming years. The captain is tasked as the leader of the second scouting fleet, with 31 other captains having their own respective ships that would also be sent out to Paradis Island.
After the voyage to Paradis Island is over, the Captain and his troops reach the island’s southern shore. He is told by a soldier that the first scout ship has already arrived hours before but there has been no report from them. The Captain says that they will continue nonetheless, as he claims the people of Paradis to be devils to the world, and that they will report any information back to Marley. Out of nowhere, the ship they are on is lifted into the sky. The Captain yells for his men to grab hold of something. He then sees that the ship is being held by the possessor of the Attack Titan, Eren Yeager, with the Captain fearfully claiming him to be a devil. The Titan walks on shore and throws the ship on the ground.
They are suddenly welcomed by the commander of the Survey Corps, Hange Zoe who frantically tries to persuade them to have a peaceful conversation with her. She then tries to use a soldier from the first scout ship named Nicollo as a ploy, as if she made friends with him. Her. But he doesn’t play along with her and yells at the Captain to just shoot them all. The Captain is noticeably shocked to see Nicollo having been captured. He rudely yells at Hange that he is in no way planning on negotiating with them, while referring to them as a “filthy lot”. Hange then tries to convince him by reinstating that the Attack Titan is still standing by their side and can kill them whenever is necessary, (with their ship also having stranded). The Captain while understanding their dire situation aims his gun towards Hange, stating that they will never yield towards the devils and that Marley sends them a message, but just before the Captain can shoot Hange, he himself is suddenly shot dead by a fellow soldier named Yelena. Everyone is looking in shock, and the Marleyan soldiers are then apprehended by Onyankopon and the other conscripted soldiers.

- The character was initially on the Villains Wiki, but was removed as he is more of an antagonist than a true villain, as it's understandable from his perspective that his actions can be seen as righteous, with Paradis Island being considered a threat to the rest of the world.
