Flip Dover is a minor character in Cars 3 and a supporting antagonist in the LEGO Pixar: BrickToons episode "Trust Yer Ol' Pal, Mater". He is a Next-Gen Piston Cup racer currently being sponsored by Intersection.

Cars 3[]
Flip competes in the 2016 Piston Cup season in Cars 3 as a mid-season replacement for the previous Intersection racer, Jimmy Cables. He debuts at the Bumper Save Gears and Glory 450, finishing 26th, and starts the Los Angeles 500 in 21st place, finishing 19th after Lightning McQueen crashes.
In 2017, Flip races in the Florida 500, starting in 7th place. After the crash caused by Cam Spinner, he makes a pit stop and resumes in 3rd, ultimately finishing the race in 9th place with Cruz Ramirez and other racers passing him.
During the end credits, he and Danny Swervez prank Cruz by inflating her tires. Flip continues his racing career after the events of the movie.
LEGO Pixar: BrickToons[]
In LEGO Pixar: BrickToons, he is seen racing with H.J. Hollis at the 400 Invitations sponsored by Vitoline. Before the race starts, he along with H.J. trash-talk McQueen who was wearing monster truck tires. At the final lap, he and H.J. crashed into each other and the other racers crashed into them. He did not finish the race.

- In LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons, Dover has the role of an antagonist when he and H.J. Hollis are shown trash-talking McQueen when he was wearing monster truck tires. It is unknown if the events of the LEGO short (along with Dover's antagonistic behavior) are canon to the Cars universe, however.
- His name is an a play-off to the phrase "flipped over".
- His Portuguese name "Capo Tado" is also a play-off to "capotado", or "overturned" in English.
