Biography[]
Frank is an industrious laborer who works long hours in the fields, gathering, threshing, and cleaning grain before heading off to supervise the tractors' operations for the remainder of the day. Frank is eager to get in for the night and get ready for the early morning after a busy day. Frank needs a strong cause or a pretty good escape route, so you better have one before you rouse him up from his cherished slumber.
When he discovers that Mater and Lightning McQueen are tractor tipping, he tries to capture them. He watches over the tractors when they sleep at night.
In Cars, Frank plays a little part. He pursues Lightning McQueen and Mater out of the field after they startled and tilted the tractors, waking him up. Just before the two automobiles depart the paddock, when Frank is unable to pass the wooden gate, he almost gets Lightning. Afterwards, Lightning dreams that Frank, who unexpectedly shows up in the tie-breaker race, beats him, The King, and Chick Hicks, and that Chick Hicks doesn't even survive the race (Frank catches him, rips him, and expels his remnants out his unloading auger). Frank can be seen hanging out with the Dinoco racing squad at the end of Lightning's dream, howling in rage as a humiliated McQueen gets licked by tractors just as he wakes up in astonishment. Frank disappears from view for the remainder of the movie, but in the closing credits, he is seen enjoying a drive-in movie with all the other characters while seated behind a fence.
