The Gammoths are a species that are from the fantasy videogame Monster Hunter.
They are female Fanged Beasts that appeared in Monster Hunter Generations.
Physiology[]
Since the males are not visible, all Gammoth are female. Gammoth resembles a real-life Woolly Mammoth. She is by far the biggest known Fanged Beast. The fur covering her large body is predominantly bluish, however it's also white and red on her trunk, legs, back and bottom. She has two tusks that appear to be composed of the same material, and much of her head and feet are covered with brown plating. It is stated that this coating has a very high damage resistance. Her trunk is laced with many spikes and seems to be coated with a scaly skin on the underside. Her petite, side-by-side eyes are noticeable. It's interesting to see that Gammoth occasionally has its legs covered in clumps of snow.
Abilities[]
By breathing snow from its trunk, Gammoth may envelop foes in a layer of snow. It is also possible to coat its legs with this snow, giving them the appearance of frozen armor. Additionally, it may draw in hunters from a distance by using its trunk to form a massive vortex that would make it easier for it to trample them. But when faced with danger, Gammoth mostly employs its overwhelming bulk and power.
Behavior[]
Nearly anything enrages gammoth. Still, Tigrex is the target of their anger the most. This is allegedly because gammoths naturally fear tigers, but as they become older, their dread of tigers is claimed to give way to wrath and aggressiveness.
