Gastodon is a Herbivore first introduced in Monster Hunter: World. It is a species of small, herbivorous Brute Wyvern that lives in areas with high bio energy such as the Elder’s Recess and Guiding Lands. As Gastodon are too small to endanger people despite their belligerence, hunters rarely target them unless to gather resources.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Physiology[]
A mix between a bison and a Hypsilophodon dinosaur is what Gastodon looks like. They resemble bison with their huge shaggy manes and horns, despite being covered in scales. They will glow red when they are angry.
Behavior[]
Around the Elder's Recess, Gastodons live in herds. In addition to being willing to fight larger monsters as a herd, they are extremely hostile toward hunters. If the hunter approaches too closely, these creatures turn aggressive right away. Additionally, they frequently attack other monsters. In spite of their fierceness, they’re rarely targets are still preyed on by the many powerful monsters inhabiting the Elder’s Recess.
