George Sanderson is a minor character who appeared in the movie, Monsters, Inc.
Biography[]
At Monsters, Inc., George works as a scarer on Scare Floor F. He is a creature with orange fur, yellow stripes, and a horn on his head.
When Charlie, George's assistant, notices that he has a child's sock on his back, he gasps and exclaims, "2319! We have a 2319!" The CDA agents show in and take the sock off George's back. This is how we first encounter George. Subsequently, the agents cause George to lose confidence by shaving off much of his fur, giving him a shower, and applying a cone on his head. George cries in agony as one of the agents tears a bandage off his back as the CDA departs.
Later, after George unintentionally left his locker open, Sulley places some of Boo's toys inside. When George opens the locker the following day, the toys land on top of his head, and Charlie calls for the CDA agents once more. They arrive and jump on George, covering him in more cones, which further undermines George's self-confidence.
Later, after Sulley is exiled and Charlie pulls a trembling George through a door from Nepal, a sock falls on George's chest. Charlie is going to call the CDA again when an irate George stuffs the sock into his mouth, throws him through the door, shuts it, and then turns to walk away while whistling. He is one of the staff members that watches as Mr. Waternoose, the CEO of the firm, is detained and removed by the CDA.
By the time the movie ends, George has grown back his fur and is working on the new Laugh Floor by himself, attempting to make youngsters laugh rather than fear them. He is shown with a sledgehammer and a watermelon, suggesting that he intends to use the hammer to shatter the watermelon (ala Gallagher's Sledge-O-Matic joke).
In addition, Mike directs, produces, writes, and stars in the company play "Put That Thing Back Where It Came From or So Help Me" in which George also makes an appearance.
In certain Monsters, Inc. editions, there are special features segments that show George getting ready for a football game. When it is discovered that they are watching football rather than playing it, he is shown getting ready in the locker room.
