The Girros is a small fanged Wyvern who who first appears in the Monster Hunter: World.
Physiology[]
Girros are fanged Wyverns that resemble snakes and have a cobra-like head and hood. Their neck is striped with yellow, and their scales are black onyx. On the side of their necks, girros also have red structures that resemble gills. While the Great Girros is impervious to thunder and weak to water, girros are susceptible to thunder but suffer harm from the water element.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Girros can be vicious attackers despite their diminutive stature, particularly when gathered in big quantities. When one of them dies, Girros will run away, just like Jagras. Girros' fangs contain paralyzing venom, and if they are exposed to the toxic gas in the Rotten Vale, they grow more aggressive. With the exception of the Great Girros, girros packs will attack any large monster in the area that has fallen over or become immobile. Their frequent attacks will frequently paralyze the victim.
