	~ Rarity mentioning that she had saw her father Hondo Flanks dead in a abandoned area of Sweet Apple Acres, which was why Rarity gave up on trying to help Applejack.

Hondo Flanks is a background character that appears in the An Apple Sleep Experiment's sequel, Another Apple Sleep Experiment, which was written by Magpiepony. He is a citizen that lives in Ponyville that can be seen in the Youtube Audio adaptation. He is the husband of Cookie Crumbles, and is the father of Rarity and Sweetie Belle.

Although not seen in the first story, he does appear on the Commemoration Statue and with his dead body being seen by Rarity in the chapter of "Lose Somethin' Rares?" in the sequel of "Another Apple Sleep Experiment".

Why Isn't He Heroic Or Villainous?[]

He has no characterization at all, only ever being shown as being an unfortunate victim who was killed in Applejack's Massacre and being shown as a dead corpse that Rarity was unfortunate to find.

Biography[]

He, although not mentioned by name, was one of the ponies that went missing one day. However, in the sequel of the chapter "Twilight's Commemoration Preparation", Hondo Flanks seen be seen on the Commemoration Statue, meaning that Hondo Flanks was one of the thirteen ponies Applejack had killed.

Later in the Chapter "Lose Somethin' Rares?", it would be shown that in a flashback that took place in the Main story that Rarity found her father's lifeless body with his mustache badly torn off of his face at an unknown area of Sweet Apple Acres.

His death left Rarity traumatized and lead to her being too scared to cure Applejack despite being able to do so, which lead to Apple Bloom's fate.
