The Ioprey is a bird wyvern who appears in Monster Hunter.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Physiology[]
The bodies of ioprey are slender and resemble raptors. Their limbs are bluish lavender in color, and their skin is a vibrant crimson with some black marks. Large, well-rounded head crests are a defining characteristic of ioprey. They have a considerable outward curve to their bottom jaw.
Abilities[]
Because of their bigger size and bulbous throat sac, which resembles that of a frog, ioprey can be clearly distinguished from other Raptors. The Ioprey's powerful poison sac, which allows it to spew toxins at its enemies, is located in this expanded neck. Ioprey hunt in groups, which may be a minor annoyance to seasoned hunters, but if a hunter is not prepared with antidotes, they can rapidly become a serious menace. The poison's duration and toxicity fluctuate depending on the rank of the ioprey. Compared to those of Low or High Rank, the poison of those in G-Rank will be significantly more severe and stay for a lot longer.
Habitat[]
Ioprey hunters are aware of their permeable skin's continual need for hydration. Because they can easily prevent dehydration, ioprey prefer to live in areas that are more humid, such the swamp, great forest, and jungle. Nonetheless, ioprey can still be found outside of these cozy homes, like the Fortress, Volcanic Hollow, and the Volcano.
