Ishani is a major character in the 2013 Disneytoon Studios animated feature film Planes.
Appearance[]
Ishani's bodywork is painted in various hues on various areas. Her front is painted yellow, while the rest of her body is painted red. There is an orange haze in between the two hues. Her eyes are green, and her green, purple, and gold features are symbolic of Indian beauty products. Her name is inscribed in gold, and her racing number #6 is painted in green on her sides. Despite having a thinner nose, different front wings, and only one side window on each side, she is based on the AeroCanard FG kit aircraft. Her propeller has five blades and is in the rear instead of the front.
Biography[]
Ishani has a lot of Indian supporters who are rooting for her to win, and she is one of the planes who qualified for the Wings Around the Globe competition. She encounters Dusty Crophopper, a crop duster who recently joined the Wings Around the Globe at John F. Kennedy International Airport. She treats him well right away, acknowledging that it's a joy to meet him and showing interest in him. All of the competitors compete in the Wings Around the Globe's first leg the next day, which begins in New York City and concludes in Iceland. Despite finishing behind the top three in both legs, Ishani had no trouble at all, especially in the second leg, which is from Iceland to Germany. Ripslinger approaches her and murmurs something about Dusty as she and the other racers head to the pub after completing the second leg.
Ishani continues and finishes in seventh place, barely ahead of Dusty, despite a few planes being out of the third leg, which is from Germany to India. Ripslinger, however, tries to use Ishani to assist him in order to prevent Dusty from beating him. She wants to congratulate Dusty on placing in the top eight, so she visits his hangar. Dusty acknowledges her accomplishments and remarks on her aerodynamic nature. In order to show Dusty the Taj Mahal and tell him about her millions of fans around India, Ishani soon takes him out. In order to help Dusty overcome his fear of heights during the next part, which passes over the Himalayas, Ishani advises him to follow a railroad track on the way back. After hearing the advise, Ripslinger offers Ishani one of his team's Sky Slycer propellers the following day, just before the leg begins. Dusty, who had to cross a tunnel and almost collided with a train at the opposite end, surprises everyone by winning the leg. Dusty then starts to realize that Ripslinger had been using Ishani to set him up after noticing her new propeller. Dusty chastises Ishani, telling her that he was mistaken about her the entire time, despite her attempts to acknowledge that she never intended to upset him and that she had assumed he would change his mind. Dusty then disregards her for the remainder of the races.
While Ripslinger, Ned, and Zed taunt Dusty, everyone in Mexico starts to wonder where he is. Ishani and El Chupacabra confront Ripslinger, claiming that Dusty had once been a great champion and that he has 10 times the engine and integrity that Ripslinger ever possesses. They are furious and aware that he was involved in Dusty's disappearance. Shortly before he is saved and taken to Mexico, Dusty is sucked into a storm over the Pacific Ocean and plunges into the ocean. But he suffers severe injuries that prevent him from competing in the last leg. Fortunately for him, the majority of the kind racers offer to help by providing spare components. Ishani decides to utilize her old propeller for the last trip, so she joins in and lends Dusty her Sky Slycer propeller. Additionally, it is sufficient for Dusty to mend his bond with her.
Everyone is in awe of Dusty's triumph as he defeats Ripslinger to win the crown, demonstrating his ability to race once more. Ishani is also pleased to announce that Dusty is the new champion for both her and the entire planet.
