Jackenstein's Pumpkin is a minor antagonist in Chapter 4: Prophecy of the 2018 episodic indie RPG Deltarune

It is an anthropomorphic jack-o'-lantern used by Jackenstein as an attack during his battle.

It is voiced by the creator of the game Toby Fox who also voices Jackenstein.

Why isn't it heroic or villainous?

• It is too enigmatic to be villainous and only seems to be following Jackenstein's commands. After Jackenstein is defeated, it will not attack the party if they return.
  • It "killing" Very Naice Guy is played for comedy and is not treated as a truly villainous act. It’s also unclear if Very Naice Guy is just a sentient bullet that can also return like it.
• Its only nice deed is returning the SOUL's tutu when they drop it, after which it promptly returns to chasing them.

Biography

Jackenstein's Pumpkin appears as the primary method of attacking during Jackenstein's fight. Shortly after the SOUL collects the key to unlock the exit, the pumpkin will appear and exclaim that the party is "TAKING TOO LONG" before chasing the SOUL.

After Jackenstein is defeated, the party can return to the drop to the dark zone, where the player can choose to tell the pumpkin a joke or tell it a story. If the latter is done, it will exclaim that Ralsei's "TAKING TOO LONG" before jumping into the abyss.
