Jangles the Clown, or simply known as Jangles, is a minor antagonist of Pixar's 15th full-length animated feature film Inside Out. Riley's deepest fears are of him.
Why isn’t he heroic or villainous?[]
- While appearing antagonistic, he has no malicious intentions. The worst he did are just reckless behavior.
Appearance[]
Jangles is a gigantic clown with blue hair, a white face with a spooky smile, a big red nose, and brilliant green eyes. He is a distorted projection of Riley's experience with clowns. He has on a red shirt, blue polka-dot trousers, large, billowing shoes, and a massive hammer. Despite this, Riley continued to perceive him as the same regular-sized clown with normal eyes.

Inside Out[]
Jangles was a performer in real life who studied theater for six years before finding work. Riley got so terrified of him that he traumatized her when he was hired for her third birthday celebration. Riley's mind was left with a massively distorted version of himself from the encounter, which was stored in the subconscious.
Bing Bong is kept captive in a balloon cage atop Jangles' sleeping surface when he is transferred into Subconscious. Joy awakens Riley up so they may utilize the Train of Thought to return to Headquarters after Joy and Sadness save him from Jangles. Riley lures Jangles into Dream Productions, whereupon she dreams about him and awakens. After that, Joy, Sadness, and Bing Bong board the train to get away from the raging Jangles.
Riley's consciousness does not know what became to Jangles, although it is likely that Jangles destroyed Dream Productions before being locked back into the Subconscious.
The actual Jangles is shown at a birthday celebration during the credits scene, when it is revealed that he secretly despises his work. His feelings are conveyed as well, and one of them was dissatisfaction at Jangles's having to go acting school for six years in order to become an entertainer and then having the kids ignore him.

- Jangles is an homage to their old friend Joe Ranft, who used to dress up as a clown, according to many Pixar workers.
- Both his name and look resemble Chuckles the Clown from Toy Story 3.
- While the Polish translation claims he only attended acting school for four years, the actual number is six.
