The Janitors are the main protagonists of the South African Science Fiction Simulation video game Viscera Cleanup Detail and its stand-alone expansions Shadow Warrior and Santa's Rampage with its DLCs House Of Horror and The Vulcan Affair.
The Janitors are various employees of Aerospace Sanitation Inc., Polar Sanitation Co., the sanitarian division of Zilla Enterprize and Discrete & Debonair Disposal. They are sent to various locations around the galaxy to clean up various messes, such alien presence, scientific research gone wrong or just preparing a facility for work. Their work also include covering-up incidents such as an uprising amount the company's employees or eliminating evidence.
Personalities[]
According to several of the hateful emails, the Janitor originally was a jerkish person and did petty "pranks" on their co-workers. It caused some of their colleagues hate them. It's fully unknown if there were other reasons for this except for the prank.
It also seems that they have some sort of friendship/partnership with a woman named Amy[1].
Depending on the players' action, the Janitor can be a careless, incompetent and jerkish, or a competent, enthusiastic perfectionist with passion to his work.
Appearances[]
They appearance changes from level to level. An asian, a white or a black, either man or woman.
They wear the basic janitor outfit. Consisting of a yellow, green or red hard hat, red or pink sleeveless shirt with a gray or brown sleeve one underneath, a yellow or gray vest, a yellow or an orange-and-black overalls with attached tool and, what seems as a protective padding around the thighs and knees, a yellow or orange boots with gray straps and yellow or orange straps. The sleeveless shirt and the overalls can be customize.
Ironically, their appearance seems more like a construction worker's one.
Biographies[]
The Janitor started their work in 2184. It's unknown who were each and one from the Janitors before becoming employees at Aerospace Sanitation Inc., Polar Sanitation Co., the sanitarian division of Zilla Enterprize and Discrete & Debonair Disposal. Each Janitor is randomly generated between 16 and 70 to keep with a realistic working age, with a fitting rank of seniority. At some point, the Janitor committed several jerkish things such as "insulting" their co-worker Craig by calling him a "Butt Fly" or putting chocolate sauce in Kyoshi's overalls[2]. At some point they met a woman named Amy.
In their Office, the Janitor stumbles across one of Bob's, a employee who worked in the same office before the protagonist, note, which refers to his 'personal collection' somewhere in the office. By hacking two of the doors in the office, the Janitor stumbles across, an Equipment Room, which leads to another closed door and a Trophy Room, which can be used by the protagonist to collect various eastern eggs and Bob's personal collection. A huge bunch of limbs and body parts. Upon hacking the door in the equipment room, it revels to be a toilet, with a dismembered body, and another Bob's note. The note revels Bob's background and the identity of the dead body, Dave, Bob's colleague. The Janitor stumbles across various Bob's notes throughout the various facilities that they clean and can eventually discover Bob and his motives.
The Janitor can be fired, if they didn't finish their work properly. Depending on how bad the mess is, it might even shut down the company.
Powers & Skills[]
- Cleaning Methodology: The Janitors are capable of cleaning blood, dirty, mud, get rid of trash such as shells, bodies, and limbs that are laying around facility.
- Stacking Proficiency: Besides cleaning mess that was left, the Janitors are required to stack a variety of items, such as crates, barrels, medical waste etc. in various locations on the facility.
- Hacking Skills: The Janitor is able to hack doors with digital code.
- Plasmakinesis/Plasma Manipulation (Via Laser Welder): Upon using the R2 High Energy Plasma Laser Welder commonly known as the Laser Welder or the Plasma Welder, the Janitor is able to shoot a plasmatic beam, which is very efficient against bullet holes, lighting scars, and organic matter.
