Junior is the youngest of the three Tyrannosaurus who appear in the movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park and their offspring. The toy in Kenner's The Lost World Series 1 with the codename "Junior" is the source of Junior's name. Given that the adult female is a Doe and the adult male is a Buck, Junior is categorized as a Tyrannosaur Fawn.

Behaviour[]

When Junior was a baby, he demonstrated the natural habit of eating the food his parents left at the nest when they were gone for a short time hunting. But this left him open to being caught by hunters, who held him captive as he cried out for his parents. Despite the fact that he had never seen people before, he showed no signs of anxiety, simply watching the two humans from his perch and carrying on with his meal. Junior's natural reaction in anguish was to bite the person tending to his injured leg in an attempt to protect himself.

Junior felt scared and tried to run away in search of safety when he saw just one person. Realizing the threat, his father stepped in and broke the man's leg, rendering him helpless. Encouraged by his father, Junior plucked up the bravery to go hunting for the first time, leaping on the injured animal and killing it. Junior showed early on that he was heavily dependent on his parents for safety and direction. He looked to them for protection and comfort, and he relied on them to teach him vital survival skills.

Biography[]

Backstory[]

On Isla Sorna, two Tyrannosaurus rex clones went crazy after Hurricane Clarissa hit the island, giving birth to the baby T-rex (Tyrannosaur Fawn). He spent his early years in a nest, where his parents fed him, much like other cloned Tyrannosaurus juveniles.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park[]

InGen, the company that revived Junior's and his parents' species, dispatched a team of hunters to capture the wild dinosaurs of Isla Sorna for Peter Ludlow's Jurassic Park: San Diego when Junior was just a few weeks old. Roland Tembo, the captain of the hunters, wanted to hunt the father of the youngster. In order to use the juvenile Tyrannosaurus as bait to entice his parents to their camp, he and colleague InGen Hunter Ajay Sidhu grabbed it when they discovered the nest in which it was dwelling.

Peter Ludlow, who had wandered away from the hunters' camp in a drunken stupor, shattered his leg by accident while being used as bait. Nick then located the injured infant and brought him back to the Fleetwood RV Mobile Lab, where Sarah treated his broken leg with first aid amid the camp disaster brought on by gatherers Nick Van Owen and Sarah Harding releasing the collected dinosaurs. Kelly pleaded with her father, Ian Malcolm, to take her to the High Hide for protection as she knew that his cries might be heard and responded. The baby's parents eventually respond to his cries, and after Nick, Sarah, and Ian successfully repaired his broken leg, he and his parents were soon released back into the wild. However, both parents shoved the mobile lab off the cliff it was on because they believed it posed a threat, even though they had their kid back.

After being seized by the Hunters at the end of the 1997 Isla Sorna Incident, the baby was transported by Peter Ludlow's plane to the brand-new Jurassic Park in San Diego, California. Later, when his father went on a rampage, Ian and Sarah came to the facility to locate and pick him up. To prevent the irate father from doing more harm to San Deigo and to return them both to their home on Isla Sorna, they used the baby to entice the Tyrannosaur Buck once more. The strategy succeeds, and the adult bites Ludlow in the legs, likely breaking them, in an effort to get his kid back. In order to teach the young Tyrannosaur how to hunt alone in the future, his father let him to kill Peter. Sarah tranquilized the adult male just before the order to kill it was given, after she had already killed Peter Ludlow.

Following the San Diego Incident, the two Tyrannosaurs were later returned to Isla Sorna, where they were reunited with the female. The infant and his family were last seen on a plain between a flock of Pteranodon and a herd of Stegosaurus. Junior's destiny is unclear, however both of his parents ended up in the Biosyn Sanctuary.
