Kanae is a minor character of Elfen Lied series. She is the younger sister of Kouta who was killed by Lucy in a flashback that ultimately scarred her brother.

Why Isn't She Heroic Nor Villainous?[]
- Her best action close to heroism is warning Kouta how dangerous Lucy and all, she is jerkish but protective to her brother. Only served as part of Kouta's tragic past, where her death by Lucy's hands effect him in the present.
Biography[]
She would first appear when she was in Kouta's when he got back from just meeting Lucy. Later on she would be in a festival with her father, brother, and cousin Yuka when she wondered off and accidentally saw Lucy murder in first sight before running off to warn Kouta. She tried to do so, with him not believing her.
Later on in a train back home she would see Lucy in it and attempt to warn her brother he still wouldn't believe it with the two bickering as the Diclonius walk up to them where her last words are "I hate you!” before being killed by Lucy in front her own brother and soon their father where it would traumatize Kouta.
Personality[]
She has a jerkish but protective and caring personality as she was very protective of Kouta as when she saw Lucy murder first-hand trying to warn him despite not believing her.
Appearance[]
She resembles a young girl with purple hair and eyes.

Trivia[]
- She is one of the few victims of Lucy that the Elfen Lied fandom didn't think should've deserved to be killed, with the fandom feeling remorse for Kanae. The rest of her victims are too minor for attachment, too hatable, or were justified for their actions, while Kanae's death had traumatized Kouta being another factor.
