Kestodon are Herbivores first introduced in Monster Hunter: World. They are small, herbivorous Brute Wyverns that live in herds and typically inhabit arid regions. As they tend to be small and don’t attack people unless provoked, they’re rarely targets for hunters unless to gather food and materials.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Physiology[]
The Kestodon is a Brute Wyvern with a build similar to a pachycephalosaurid dinosaur as it possesses a large, disc shaped scale on its forehead. While female Kestodons are bronze in color and do not have the big head crest that males do, males are bright orange and have it for headbutting competitors.
Behavior[]
When spotted, kestodons will become hostile because they are an aggressive species. Males will charge potential dangers with violence, while females will warn the pack of danger. They will not assault other monsters, but they instantly turn aggressive when they are near.
Habitat[]
The Sandy Plains and the Wildspire Waste are two examples of dry environments where Kestodon are known to reside. The Citadel and the Ancient Forest are also home to them.
